Wine cork crafts for kids

If you come from a family or a neighborhood that consume wine like others consume water, you are in for wonderful and cheap ways to occupy your kids with wine cork crafts. While the usual wine cork crafts include the wine cork corkboard, a noticeboard with corks nicely and securely fitted within a wooden frame, wine cork heart wreaths to show off your love for wine, wine cork grapevine wreaths to remind you of the source of your great wines, coasters and display racks, you might also find them useful for little crafts that kids will find enjoyable and not too massive to handle.

!. Wine cork animals.

Wine cork animals are simple and fun to construct. Although most wine corks come in the standard three-quarter inch uniform cylindrical shape, others that once corked exquisite wines may come in various sizes and shapes. Select your shapes for various animals. A few standard cylindrical corks can be carefully stringed together with a sharp and thin needle and durable nylon thread. Add felt legs to make a caterpillar, a millipede, or even a centipede. Add riverets or plastic eyelets with black movable pupils, and your kids have their cute collection of animals that can become the proud conversation displays on any mantelpiece or cabinet tops.

Your kids will also be delighted to decorate this year's Christmas Tree with their very own homemade angels. As a subtle reminder that Christmas is a time of family cheer, you might even suggest that they name their angels after their relatives that they do not have opportunities to meet often.

3. Play food.

Have fun with cork cocktail sausages on sphagetti, kebab sticks, sliced cork sausages and burgers on toy plates or real plastic pickle dishes. Pseudo food crafts teach kids the nutritional and aesthetic value of food, that may inspire them to be the next world renown food craft chef. Instead of rushing out to the toy mart the next time your kids get sick of their toys, why not get them to invent new ones such as these surreal food ideas with the humble cork?

4. Cork-head dolls.

Cork-head dolls make great ideas for kids who love to sew and show off their own dress designs for dolls, but
