One book, Stress Management for Dummies by author Allen Elkin, is a great book to own. This book gives you several tips for how to manage your stress levels as soon as you begin to study and read it. The book tells you how to figure out your stress levels, put up or deal with difficult people, and how to get a handle on your anger problems. This is a paperback book with 336 pages.
The Relaxation & Stress Reduction Workbook is another good book to own and help you work through stress. The author is Martha Davis, a psychologist together other authors, composed this book which teaches many ways of how to deal with your stress. They go through methods such as meditation practices, how to be more assertive and say no, and a number of other things which I think are very helpful. The book is paperback, and 371 pages.
The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook is another good one. This fourth edition was written by author Edmund J. Bourne. Bourne is a psychiatrist and has a lot of experience in teaching others how to cope with many different types of stress and anxiety in their lives. This workbook is very intensive and will help you to figure out ways problem solving management. The book is paperback and 448 pages long.
Instant Calm, by Paul Wilson is another book which talks about finding the positive sides to your life in order to manage stress. Author Paul Wilson gives many tips and advice from acupressure, exercise and diet, and meditation in order to better manage your daily life. This is a paperback book with 336 pages.
Total Relaxation: Healing Practices for Body, Mind, and Spirit by John Harvey is another great resource to look into when the stress and anxiety in your life is too much. Enclosed in this book is a cd, which teaches you about methods of relaxation on how to ease your stress levels and how to cope in life. Dr Harvey is also a clinical psychologist. This book is paperback, and has 186 pages in it packed with a lot of helpful information.
The Stress Management Handbook by Lori-A. Leyden-Rubinstein is a book that zeroes in on the whole picture of the mind, body, and spirit. This author gives a lot of advice on several strategies you can use in order to manage your stress and anxiety levels. She emphasizes why it is important to love and care for yourself, as well as taking time out to enjoy each life moment. This book is 208 pages in paperback.
These are all great books to own, but in order for them to be effective, you have to follow through with the tips and suggestions these sources have.
