Even retailers like Wal-Mart, Target and Hobby Lobby offer many Disney ornaments. Mix and match characters like Woody and Buzz with Donald and Goofy. Designate that each tree decoration must be hand-made, a gift from friends or loved ones, souvenirs from vacations or an ornament purchased to commemorate a special occasion or milestone. This theme can be added to each year easily. Decorating the Christmas tree with nothing but ornaments and decorations that have significance can make tree-trimming day as special an occasion as the Christmas Holiday.

* Winter Wonderland

Trim the tree in blues, whites and silvers. Feature only ornaments that epitomize a Winter Wonderland. Include snowflakes, snowmen, icicles, polar bears, penguins, snowy owls, and shimmering, glittery ornaments.
