Easiest way to make money on Helium

by M. J. Joachim

Helium offers to pay upfront payments for articles as they get written and self published. By doing a few simple calculations you can discover how this can translate into a profitable part-time income. Depending on the size of your portfolio, you can earn x amount of money per article you submit. As your portfolio increases, your income per article will increase as well. This is the easiest way you can make money on Helium.

*Regarding upfront payments: If your portfolio contains more than 100 articles with a writing percentage between seventy-five and eighty-five, you will earn $1.50 per article you write, because you will have three blue stars indicative of that pay scale, providing 25% or more of them are in competitive titles. That means that if you write ten articles a day for seven days, you will earn 15 dollars a day, multiplied by 7, meaning you will receive $105 for those seven days worth of work.

*Regarding empty title bonuses: If you keep 25% of your articles in competitive titles, and your work maintains the necessary writing percentage, you can earn $1 for every article you submit to an empty title. Remember that many of these titles will become competitive, so you want to do your best writing when submitting to empty titles to increase your overall profits in the long run.

*Regarding rating: Rating is required to earn income on Helium. You must participate in reviewing other articles and choosing your favorite to earn at least one rating star. If you do not have a rating star, you will not get paid for the writing you submit in any given month. Rating is not difficult, and it is worth it to get and keep that necessary star for payment.

*Regarding page views: Page view earnings do not accumulate very fast at all. You can increase page views by getting links to your articles from different sources. This way, your articles will have a better chance of increasing in overall page rank. The more links you get, the better chance you have of earning multiple pennies from people looking at your work. If you can get really good links from highly exposed sources, your page views should also noticeably increase.

*Regarding Marketplace: Marketplace is challenging, and it's a hit or miss type of situation. There's no guarantee a publisher is going to buy your article, and it could take them a while to decide. If you need to know how much you will earn, it's best to increase your portfolio without participating in Marketplace.

*Regarding contests: Contests allow you to increase your portfolio and earn upfront payments. Winning is rather tricky, but they are valuable in that you can focus on one topic and write lots of articles, usually preventing you from doing extra research.

It can be said without hesitation that increasing your portfolio is probably the easiest way to earn money on Helium. Fill in your own numbers for the above mentioned upfront payment section and do the math. You will see that if you are consistent, dedicated, and hard working, your income will steadily increase when you write for Helium, provided you maintain at least one rating star.
