I learned something about myself
During this time away from you
That is I cannot deny needing you
I wont deceive myself
Fo' show, I like to feel independent
To rely on my own strengthen
I resent pity and turn down alms
Even when I'm fatigue my pride is ever vibrant
However, I cannot deny needing you
I wont deceive myself
Naturally, I hesitate to open up
Realizing that in their chattering people commit chilling treachery against themselves
Spilling their deepest secrets and weakness
Recklessly revealing their Achilles Heels
But even with these inclinations
I cannot deny needing you
I wont deceive myself
Before I heard that the truth sets you free
Now I can swear that it does indeed

Unknowingly my lies were drowning me in the deepest pool
And I had not the faintest clue how to swim
But then Truth came to my rescue, along with Love, his twin
At that moment I stop suppressing my feelings
And as I accepted them, my denies were as broke shackles
Then I found myself swimming to the surface, where I gasped for air
My life had been spared
That is why my dear
I cannot deny needing you
I wont deceive myself
