Everyone loves a good conspiracy theory or unexplained mystery, even if it just to disprove it. The story of the Dropa Stones may not necessarily be the best known of all historical mysteries but is often said to be the evidence of early visitations from outer space.

-The Story of the Dropa Stones

There are two basic stories that relate to the discovery of the Dropa Stones, although there is some overlapping of stories. Below is the most oft reported of the tales, although names and dates do change depending on the version being told.

The stories of the Dropa Stones commences in 1938 when an archaeological expedition from the Beijing University travelled to the remote area of Bayan-Kara-UIa, in the foothills of the Himalayas. This expedition was lead by Professor Chi Pu Tei.

Professor Chi Pu Tei discovered that burrowed out of the mountains was a series of caves and tunnels as if bored out by advanced technology. Within the caves the expedition discovered a number of small graves, each with a small skeleton entombed within. The skeletons though were not of children, and although only just over four feet in height, the heads were overly large. The only markings at these graves were circular stones, each a foot in diameter, with a small hole drilled through their centre and spiral grooves resonating outwards. These stones became known as the Dropa Stones. The tunnels were also adorned with cave paintings dating back to about 10,000BC.

The expedition returned to Beijing although the work and findings were hidden away for twenty years. Eventually though the university got around to undertake further research into the Dropa Stones. This research was lead by Dr. Tsum Um Nui. It was soon discovered that there was microscopic hieroglyphs upon the Dropa Stones. To aid his research, Dr. Tsum Um Nui, uncovered a total of 716 Dropa Stones in the original tunnels.

It wasn't just the Chinese who were interested in the Dropa Stones, and additionally research was undertaken by Russian scientists. This research discovered that each stone was high in concentration of cobalt, but more surprisingly was the fact that they would oscillate as if containing an electrical charge.

-What the Dropa Stones Say

Dr. Tsum Um Nui was able to decipher the hieroglyphics and despite many of the Dropa Stones being unreadable, Dr. Tsum Um Nui was able to piece together the story. In essence the Dropa Stones tell of how a race of aliens, known as the Dropa, crash landed on the
