To Get Her
Should conscious weave so fine a thread that by its nature binds
Not by twist or tether instead perhaps a wishful wizened blend
Might it create but one consciousness cohered with likened strands
Very like molecular covalence as though through love's demand
So that when the mere physical and spiritual cannot abide
Through one new mind designed to more than simply intertwine
We will in moments laugh or sigh somehow together wound
Though miles and circumstance seem heinous plots against
Through this likeness of kind we can yet together bind
And though through flesh together a love we'll doubtful find
We can remain so thoughtful a thing intricately defined
