How to clean your house

Make a list and start from the top. It is easier to get organized when all of your tasks are right there in front of you. Sometimes there are so many chores that need to be done at the same time it becomes difficult to pick a place to start. You have to start somewhere so just dive into your list and get organized.

Organize all of your cleaning supplies in a way that makes them easy to reach and easy to distinguish. In a hurry to clean up some fruit juice spilled on your carpet, the last thing you want to do is grab the bottle of harsh bleach-based chemicals instead of the carpet cleaner.

Begin with the room you first walk into when you enter the home. By establishing a starting point the chores can more easily fall into place. Any extra chores that come up along the way should be written down on your chore list so that you will be able to better estimate a completion time average.

Completing all of the chores in one room at a time will allow you to see the results of your labor. By going room to room and completing projects the difference can be difficult to see, which can sometimes a motivation killer. Limit the amount of time each chore should take. Dishes normally take under 15 minutes to wash by hand. Vacuuming should take between 5 to 10 minutes per room depending on its size and traffic.

Try to begin your house cleaning at the same time every day when you have a recurring project or chore. By beginning your cleaning as early in the day as possible it leaves time during the rest of your day to accomplish other things. Who knows, at the end of the day you could even have a little extra time left over for yourself. Once you establish a list and a routine any house cleaning chore will become a simple addition.

When you begin cleaning up in a room always start with the largest mess so that all of the hardest house cleaning is out of the way as soon as possible. The rest of the house cleaning will be easier if you are not stressed out about the largest job in the room.

Any house cleaning job can be finished and over with with minimal effort when an organized routine is established. Organization is the key to simple success.
