The hottest party video games for Christmas 2009 allow the entire family to play or compete against each other, as teams or as singles. From beach volley to NBA basketball, from Wii's Fit to Nintendo X-Box's Rock Band, getting fit while plating video games has become more of a genre than a fad. People are exchanging violent, shoot-em up games that make the bad guys sweat, for games that make them sweat. There will always be a market for games with more gratuitous blood and gore than than a Rob Zombie film, but wholesome sports and exercise is quickly catching up.

For people who live by their Nintendo X-Box and their rock band imitation games, that Rob Zombie comes to the forefront again, with the Rob Zombie Pack 1. The name that everyone was sure that would never be granted to a game console, The Beatles, has been coupled with the Rock Band game for Christmas 2009, and let the oh-yeah-yeah-yeahs begin. For a little more amatuerish, or childish fun, try the new Lego Rock Band.

The Nintendo Wii also has most offerings of the Rock Band spectacle, and brings more action, in the form of physical exertion, to the game genre. With the Wii Nunchuks, Wii Fit accessories, the racket for racket sports and the steering wheel, along with numerous other attachments that make you feel more a part of the action than ever before, any game from the Wii outfit would make winderful gifts for Nintendo Wii owners. And, there are also many different configurations of combination packs, with the controllers, attachments, games and console included.

The Playstation III continues it's dominance in the gaming market for Christmas 2009, but Nintendo is quickly catching up. One major advantage of the Playstation III is that it has a built-in Blu-Ray player, and at $299, the gaming console could be considered free, if you had planned on buying a Blu-Ray player. Comparable to a Sony $300 Blu-Ray player, with the power and game selection that the PSIII provides makes buying a bundled package a no-brainer, if you would like to have a Blu-Ray player in the house as well as a gaming console.

No matter the gaming console that the person that you are buying the hottest party video games has, there are games that will make the entire group want to play, and even watch, as the graphics can be better than some movies out these days. The story lines can even be better than a lot of movies too. Buying a multi-game pack, which are usually overflowing the store shelves just in time for Christmas, can give the player a multitude of party games to choose from.

But for keeping a party lively and fun, with nobody feeling left out, the Nintendo Wii's Rock Band series is the hottest new party video game out for Christmas 2009.
