After all of the rushed home preparations to confirm your Disney resort reservations, get the family luggage packed, empty the refrigerator, close the house down, stop the mail, make arrangements for your pets and then make the journey, you are in a state of fatigue upon arrival. Hesitating for a moment as you step inside the foyer where the check-in desk is located, you look around at the ambiance. The same aesthetic attention to detail that you saw outside as you drove by lovely landscaping is observed inside, also. Everything is spotless, the decor theme is lovely and you suddenly realize that you are in a beautiful paradise where the staff cheerfully anticipates your every need. In that instant of first impressions, you know you will be taken care of graciously without hassles. There is a personal signature of a Disney vacation that makes you feel like they truly care about you. Your mind begins leaving the intense world of business and daily demands at home far behind as you relax. This is going to be a very special vacation, a reward for a long year or more of work. You are starting to feel like royalty.
The next morning, as you venture forth to start your first day of vacation activities, you notice beautiful white containers with pretty floral designs sitting quietly in discreet locations. As the days pass, you observe that those are trash cans that never seem full and you do not see anyone emptying them. Everything is pristine, day after day. Inquiring about the trash pick-up, someone on staff explains, Oh, no, we empty the trashcans at night when all of our guests are asleep; we do not want anything to ruin their vacation fantasy." It does not get much better than this!
As you explore your own themed resort grounds, the pools, landscaping selections and shops are very pretty but the biggest surprise is that you can safely walk those same areas at night under special lighting. There is no fear, security is so well maintained. A balmy evening under the moon, slowly meandering about with your loved one or family, is a huge plus if you have been dealing with tumultuous, dangerous neighborhoods or city emergencies back at home, hearing harsh noises like wailing emergency vehicles day after day. You may not even realize how much you need this peaceful change of pace until you are in it. A Disney vacation specializes in soothing all of your senses: visual, auditory, tactile, taste; nothing is overlooked.
