"Black Friday" is a term used to relate to the biggest shopping day of the year for Christmas presents. Generally speaking, stores have blitz items that they only put out for a certain number of hours on this day. The next item up for grab is our special on a digital camera that you can only buy between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.; after this time its first come serve and what ever is left if you get there after the stated time. The best way to plan for these sales to be prepared. Make you a list, have your sales papers ready, have a budget, and have a time; once you have these in place then you will be set to go.
The first item listed is to make you a list. I say this because most people are not like me where they just have two people to buy for this year. Most normal families have quite a few people that are in there immediate family tree. When you write down what each is asking for then you can look for them in your sales paper and have that be the deciding factor as to where you will go for Black friday.
The next item on the list is have your sales paper ready. If you don't want to spend all day going to each store fo rthe best deals. Have your sales paper ready. Some retail super stores and other big stores in the malls will some times comp prices as long as you have a sales paper to back it up to show the comp price.
The third thing to be ready is to have a budget. If you don't have a budget you will over spend and end up buying things you really can't afford.
The final thing is to have a set time that you want to spend at each store. If you are going to a lot of stores then you will want to plan on spending less than an hour at each store. Keep in mind that you want to add in time for waiting in line to be checked out at the front register. Also, know where your outlying registers are as well. This might speed up the process a little faster.
Just remember that the earlier the better and if you get at one place early and manage your time then you should be able to catch all your deals when you need to.
We used to call is out "shop til we dropped " day and that was because we spend all day going from store to just window shopping and most of the time our parents got everything at Walmart even when we thought they were getting it at other stores. This "shop til you drop" is a good way to wear the kids out as well so they forget what you have purchased by the end of the day. Happy holidays.
