The Importance Of Reading.
We read so we can learn and educate ourselves to increase our knowledge or maybe get adsorbed into a fictional fantasy or just to have a laugh but for whatever reason you read it is important no... its necessary in this time and age, from a little school book to a application form (C.V.) or even a simple newspaper, to have the skill of reading.
Even at the very start of education we all get taught how to read and write so we can develop our skills because we need to know how to read and write for school to do well in all subjects language arts, math, science, social studies, and loads more. Even from a basic primary school all the way to collage or even university, either way you NEED reading as one of the basic skills.
If we couldn't read we couldn't learn about the little life skills like gardening, bird watching, woodwork, card tricks to or even just how to look after a pet.
All the great chefs in todays world that are (or were) good and famous would have never of been famous and good cooks if they couldn't read becauseif they could not read they could not learn recipes and how to cook like they do today.
Reading would effect the Internet to if you can't read then you can't fully use the Internet which means less traffic for websites which means that they can't get enough money to run their websites. So basically the Internet would fail and just collapse.
If you want to read up on what's going on in this ever changing world how could you if you can't read the newspaper. What about on the road we would be utterly lost without being able to read the road signs or not being able to read and understand a simple map let alone being able to read a novel.
Do you think that the great writers would be able to write their novels if they could not read, of course they couldn't. What would happen if J.K Rowling couldn't read, Happy Potter would not even exist. What if your child wanted you to read them a book but you couldn't because there wouldn't be any books to read if all the writers didn't learn to read.
So the next time you pick the nespaper or a book just remember how lucky you are to have the skill of reading and how important it is.
