I strongly believe that texting is totally and unmercifully destroying English language . If most of the young people using this new broken and mathematical language or signs, how can anyone say that this is not endangering English language.

The teenagers are using it now for messaging and chatting but I can assure you that they will get used to it in the future and they will find it difficult to read literature books and linguistics books. the people who say that texting is not dangerous they are killing our English without realizing what they are going. I am say this though I am not a native speaker of English Language. English is not also a second language for me .

I only learn English as a foreign language and I could realize the danger of texting on English. I do not know what happened to the native speakers of English who see how texting is going to kill English language and say that is good for English. I am doing my PhD on this topic and I have read for so articles arguing that texting is in a great help to English language. When I came to know that those writers are native speakers of English I really got dumb and do not know what to say to them. But I am still working on this topic and my aim is to save English language from deterioration as a result of texting.

I want just to say to those who are happy with texting to wait for 20 years and then see what the change will occur on English as a result to texting. I want also to tell them that TEXTING is like a little child which you can not guess whether he/she will be having a good character or not .People are using texting without any rule they follow their abbreviations, their acronyms, their own grammar. Those who are happy with texting are giving normal people to destroy English grammar in the name of speed and adding new rules and new words to English language . I will not stop working on my PhD topic and I am not going to change it because of these people who believe that texting is good for English language, but I go on and then I will tell them in the future that they are responsible for what will happen for English Language.
