I DARE YOU
The cold winds have come,
chased away the summer blues.
You are still in that quaint little town by
that quaint little river...
So many years, you still
haunt my heart.
I dare you.
I know I still haunt yours.
when I need you,
you answer me.
living in a world that dares us to
break with tradition, with rules.
but, we don't.
Like the sudden change of the season
from burning hot,
to freezing cold;
I leave behind an old life;
I embrace the unknown, waiting.
You once said you could outwait me,
but I am your mirror.
Let this be our time.
Take it while we're still unafraid,
I dare you. I dare you.
I dare myself.

Poetry: I dare you
I dare you to be
A man, smart and free
To be all that's good
In everything, you should
To face adversity, with
by Carol Gioia
I dare you to pursue your dreams,
pushing the limits until
your heart bursts at the seams.
I dare you to get involved, genuinely
I dare you to love me
to give your all
to never look back
and never fear the fall
I dare you to lose
the attitude you portray
by Rob E
I dare you to find
A man of like mind
And talk of ways
To better our days
I double-dare you to find
I dare you to care
For folks
Daddy said someone took mommy away
And he cried with my brother and me
Hoping she would come home any day
And wanting things
