I DARE YOU

The cold winds have come,

chased away the summer blues.

You are still in that quaint little town by

that quaint little river...

So many years, you still

haunt my heart.

I dare you.

I know I still haunt yours.

when I need you,

you answer me.

living in a world that dares us to

break with tradition, with rules.

but, we don't.

Like the sudden change of the season

from burning hot,

to freezing cold;

I leave behind an old life;

I embrace the unknown, waiting.

You once said you could outwait me,

but I am your mirror.

Let this be our time.

Take it while we're still unafraid,

I dare you. I dare you.

I dare myself.
