When you get married, the issue about children is always included in the package. Of course, lots of people marry because they want children of their own, but this is not always the case in married couples. Having children is often times the reason of divorces and separations. Some people do not like to have children while others love children very much and this matter sometimes becomes a serious problem in marriage.

Before going into a commitment, it is better to ask your partner if he likes children. Only then will you be able to decide what step you are going to take next. If you are determined to have children and your partner does not like to have children, you have to do something to get your partner to agree with you. But doing this is not that easy. And sometimes the worst could happen if you insist what you want.

Here are some tips that you could follow if you really want to get your partner to agree in having children:

1. Tell your partner about the joys of having children.

2. Show pictures of your childhood and tell your partner about the joys in your family.

3. Ask your partner about his childhood. He may have some bad experiences in the past that is why he does not like to have children. You could help him change his mind by knowing what his problem is. If he prefers to forget his past, then leave it at that.

4. Bring your niece or nephew at home and make your partner see the difference of having children at home and having none.

5. Do not force your partner to agree with your suggestion.

6. Give time for your partner to decide what he wants.

7. Always have an open communication.

8. Convince your partner to attend a friend's or relative's children's party with you. Perhaps your partner will have fun and change his mind.

The hardest thing to do in life is to convince someone, especially about serious matters. You need to have a good strategy in order for you to be able to convince your partner. If you have done everything in your capability yet nothing happened, give your partner time to reconsider. It is useless convincing someone who has finalized his decision and has closed his mind for any change of decision. Just give your partner time to decide.

A better step to take though is not to allow it to happen too late. Before marrying someone, think about your priorities in life. If you really love children and you will never exchange them for anything, plan ahead before getting married. Ask you partner first, if your partner does not like children, there is no reason for you to pursue the relationship. There is always someone out there who will love you and who will love children at the same time.

Children are very important in a relationship and the decision will depend on your priorities in life, but you should always bear in mind that what makes you happy is the most important thing that you should do.
