How to write lots of articles quickly

by M. J. Joachim

Created on: November 02, 2009

Don't think. Just write. Write about what you know. Write about things that bother you. Write about things you do or would like to do. Spill your guts and don't hold back. That's the secret to producing lots and lots of articles in a very short amount of time. You know so many different things. And you can write about each and every one of them. People are creatures of habit, so start sharing yours, through your writing, with the world.

We all have things we do every single day. We have things we do out of habit weekly, monthly or by season. There are traditions we observe that no one else does, and things that everyone does together. Write about them and tell your story. Give your readers something to think about when you explain what you do and why. You don't need to write in first person to tell about what you do. You can write like an observer. In fact, that might be very beneficial when you explain the details from a different perspective. Writing in second or third person about something you do will make you think about it a little bit more, explaining every detail with particular care.

Share how you plant flowers with the world. Explain why you think make-up should be applied lightly. Let people in on all of your little housecleaning secrets that save you time and money. This is what writing is all about. It's about engaging the world around you, and then telling everyone about it in a story. It doesn't matter what genre you use to tell your story. Your goal as a writer is to simply put it out there. Turn your fear of insects into a gravedigger's worst nightmare, or your beauty secrets into a tale of true love. How you tell your story is completely up to you.

The source of your writing is you. It's everything you know that seems trivial and unimportant. Your job is to put a spin on it, and make it exciting and informative for your reader. The real work of writing is to make cleaning a washing machine an experience that other people can relate to; you can do that well enough with your natural ability to put words into amazing sequences, inviting your reader's emotions to overwhelm them. Begin by putting basic information into simple, short and quick paragraphs. Then elaborate, filling in detail with lots of adverbs, adjectives, and all the descriptive words you can think of.

Poor out the boring, mundane details of your life on a blank canvas, and fill it with words. Write quickly because you are so familiar with the topic. Then unleash your imagination on those plain, ordinary words, and tell the real story, the one that keeps you going, the one that takes your breath away, and the one that explains the real reason why all those routine habits and activities have become a main portion of your life, and one that you would never want to live without.
