I gave you my heart -
So vibrant you seemed!
I wasn't suspecting
Deception and greed.
I gave you my soul:
I thought you were wise
Your spirit amazed me...
You fed me sweet lies.
My judgement impaired-
You had me so fooled!
I saw you as fair,
And valiant, and good...
So was it true love?
No, love doesn't hurt,
Or don't you remember
The tales we were told?
The prince, and the castle,
A passionate kiss...
Confessions and oaths,
Then... years of bliss.
'Guess I was mistaken:
There was none of that...
I hope, maybe someday,
I'll find my true love.
