Poetry: Puppets

Pompous powerhouses and penniless paupers

had played their parsimonious parts so perfectly.

Dismal disharmony...dire despair...dual delusions.

A pathetic place...populated by a plethora of pitiful puppets.

Sinewy strings had been seductively snipped by the Master.

The puppets had forgotten their putrid purpose.

The Master was doubly displeased.

He subjected his precious puppets to tremendous torture.

Emotionally, mentally and spiritually dismembered.

Then devotedly and delicately discarded...
