I'm leaving you behind me
It's about time to set you free
This cloud following my day
will finally lift and float away
Only the good, will I remember
The love once felt becomes dimmer
The smile on my face
is genuine, not out of place
Breathing has become easier
I'm no longer living the life of a people pleaser
The strength you see in my arms
keeps me free of the physical pains
But the brute strength of me
you will not touch, you will never see
I'm taking over my own life
free to deal with any strife
How did you believe you knew me
when you made it so hard to breathe?
So long heartache, so long pain
I'm coming back, no longer tame
