How to find a local Weight Watchers meeting

Finding a meeting location in your area for Weight Watchers is a simple first step to changing your life forever. Simply log on to www.weightwatchers.com and you'll be on your way. Across the top of the site you will find a link entitled "Find a Meeting." When you click on this link you will arrive at a screen that asks for your zip code.

With this information, the Weight Watchers site will give you a lengthy list of all Weight Watcher meetings, listing both times and locations, as well as the distance in miles you will have to travel. It also provides a handy map to guide you to your destination. From this same location you can find out about purchasing a monthly pass, current meeting rates and any special offers that might be available at the present time.

If you hop around a little on this site you can get a good introduction into just what the Weight Watchers program is all about. In a few clicks you can read about an overview of the goals and the structure of the program. You can get some ideas for a few tasty recipes that fit into the Weight Watchers eating plan. You might want to try out a couple of the exercises under the fitness tab or find encouragement from one of the inspiring success stories.

You don't actually have to attend a meeting to be a part of the Weight Watchers family. You can also sign up for Weight Watchers Online and follow the program in the privacy of your own home. This works great for many people. Others, however, can really benefit from the encouragement and accountability that comes from attending weekly meetings with like-minded individuals. Your weigh-in, of course, is private between you and your counselor. No one ever has to see what's written in that little book unless you choose to show it to them.

Even if you've been a part of a Weight Watchers group in the past and think you have gathered enough knowledge to put yourself back on the straight and narrow track to weight loss, you can still benefit from the shared camaraderie of a group of people devoted to the same goals, and fighting the same issues, as you are. Most of us find ourselves making an enemy of our scale at some point in our lives. The strength and fellowship you'll find from the staff and other clients at a Weight Watchers meeting may be just the kick you need to get yourself where you need to be.
