Poetry: If I die today

by Lola-Rose

Created on: November 01, 2009

It's too much to keep holding on,

If I fall will anyone notice I've gone?

All I fight for is other people, but they've

Left me, cold hearted and numb.

I've never needed other people more,

yet I've never been more alone.

How am I meant to get through this hell alone,

When there's nothing left to fight for.

If I died today, would you see or care?

Would you regret that you weren't there?

Or would you carry on like nothing happened,

Like you didn't see me tumble down.

If I died today, would a tear be shed,

For all those years I never lived,

For all those words I never shed,

For all those smiles I'll never give.

I need someone to hold my hand,

and walk with me over this desolate land.

I need you to care and to just be there,

to listen.

If I died today would you notice?
