Guide to seasonal weather in Jamaica

GEOGRAPHY

Jamaica is an island nation of the Greater Antilles, situated in the Caribbean Sea south of Cuba and west of the Haiti. Jamaica is the third largest island and the fourth largest country in the Caribbean. Also it is the birthplace of Bob Marley and James Bond. Here you can enjoy rafting, climbing waterfalls, horse riding, diving, mountain biking or just lying in hammocks and watching the sunset. The island is full of life, but be sure that dangerous animals or poisonous creatures in the forest does not exist. Of course you can see some crocodiles, which you can see while swimming by ship across the Black River.



CLIMATE

The climate in Jamaica is tropical - hot and humid. There is neither summer nor winter. During the year there are two rainy seasons: May-July and September-November. July - September of the high likelihood of hurricanes. Hottest months are July and August, coolest - February. The best weather is from December to July. Average annual temperatures range from 19 to 32 degrees, but the hot season the temperature is higher. The island dominated by the north-east wind, a little salvation from the heat. Rainfall: 78 inches per year. Rain depends on the season. You can always see short, but heavy rain on the shores.

TEMPERATURE

Best time to travel to Jamaica is depending on climate. In most cases it is December-April. In this period Jamaica mostly has to offer sunny days and rarely rainfall. Essentially all of the island's climate is similar - the annual temperature amplitur small at rainy season in May-November, characterized by intermittent rain, accompanied by the sun, which is rapidly drying soil. Water temperature throughout the year does not come below 24 Celsius degrees.

REQUIRED CLOTHES

Those who like a walk in the evening at the beach or city promenade it is recommended to take a warmer sweater or a light jacket.
