Poetry: Silent thoughts

by A.W. Berry

Expressionless, silent thoughts race,
No clue is offered on the comatose face,
In the head, thoughts gently find their place,

Some become emotions without a trace,
No feelings shown, like a tied shoe with no lace,
The magic of mind roams freely in  limited space,

Invisible caverns, and canyons so deep,
Loud creations of thought, without a peep,
Events so fast, hardly an ivy's creep,

In a quiet state, where brain waves still bleep,
Silent thoughts continue with sleep,
Causing amazing things, they fly with no leap,

Silent thoughts often do not lisper,
Even after autumn leaves of mind fall and turn crisper,
In the universe they echo back, as an unconscious whisper.
