1. Select the right affiliate program

Selecting the right program is extremely important although many of new marketers simply forget this. There are thousands of affiliate programs on the internet but follow these guidelines to select the best for you. First look for something you are interested and a product with high quality. Find more details about the affiliate program to make sure that they pay for their affiliate partners. Otherwise your valuable time is may be a real waste. The commission per sale must be at least $ 10 - 15. Don't join for programs that pay you very small portions and ask for very high pay outs that are difficult to be achieved. They tend to be scams. Search internet whether the product is popular among the buyers. Read help section and other guidelines of the affiliate to avoid any early mistakes.

2. Don't join too many affiliate programs at the same time

First select one very good program and work hard for it. You may see some success or not. Don't worry you could learn a lot from your mistakes. You may avoid them in the next time. So concentrate on one product at a time. After you have begun to make sales then it's time to go for another program.

3. Use the product you are promoting

Before say others to buy the product you should buy it and use it. This is the best way to learn about it and to determine whether product is good to use or not. If you are satisfied with it you can select it as your affiliate product. The most important thing is you can say your experiences to others and it will help to improve sales and conversions.
