"Dancing Autumn Leaves"
Dried and restless crunchy leaves
forced into dancing, as they are
being pushed by a chilled wind,
which makes these reluctant
Autumn leaves
run down the street.
They swirl around my feet.
Colorful cartwheels swirling and twirling,
dancing and prancing,
heading for my neighbor's lawn.
The chilling wind keeps them busy
from night to dawn.
I look out my window
at the early break of day,
those busy leaves have returned
back on my lawn to stay!
