Basketball is a game of strategy and talent as well. To teach a kid how to play a new game is very hard. Kids are very fragile and they take criticism in the wrong way. The most important thing is not winning, it's about having fun and enjoying yourself. Just remember, if you had fun then you've won! 1. The first thing is to let the kids shoot around and to enjoy themselves. But the secret to teaching them while they're doing that is to do it non-intentionally. Don't stop them and make an hour speech, just be very sly and sneak and show them the right way. 2. When the kids start to get older and they start to get into tough competetion they want to get better. The one thing to getting better is practice and drills. Don't try to make them die from boredom, teach them the drill and let them practice by themselves. 3. The most important thing on teaching the game of basketball is about having fun. Losing is great shakes either but they should enjoy having fun and hopefully winning too. They don't have to be the biggest guy or the most talented guy on the court but once they start to enjoy the game, they actually try to do better. IF YOU HAD FUN THEN YOU'VE WON!
