Poetry: Here I am

by Austin Janeway

Created on: October 31, 2009   Last Updated: November 01, 2009

"Here I am!" I cry as I am pulled into the light.
I am a crying child, a bundle of delight.
Soft and squishy skin covers little feet and little hands
Were given to me to crawl around strange new lands.

Yes indeed, here I am now, still that bundle of joy.
Here I am now, a stunning baby boy.
Here I am, the new object of your love.
Here I am now, the newest member of the family.
