"We are what we think...all that we are, arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make our world." This quote from the movie "The Secret" has more to do with destiny and fate than you think. Have you ever heard of The Law of Attraction? If according to people, The Law of Attraction is true then destiny is fate and not a coincidence.
Law of Attraction states that if you really want something and truly believe it is possible, you will get it. Comparing all three definitions, destiny, fate, and law of attraction, and really thinking about it; there is no possible way destiny could be a coincidence unless you don't believe. People may think it is a coincidence because what they want to happen is not, and they give up thinking its fate, thinking that the only way what they really want is going to happen is if a coincident was to occur. Think about the definitions. Destiny is an event that will inevitably happen in the future. Fate is the supposed force, principle, or power that predetermines events. For Law of Attraction, it has been discovered that if you practice the followings the event you want to happen will occur:
1. Know exactly what you want
2. Ask the universe for it
3. Feel, behave and know as if the object of your desire is already yours (visualize)
4. Be open to receive it and let go of (the attachment to) the outcome
What does this have to do with destiny and fate? "Thinking of what one does not have, they say, manifests itself in not having, while if one abides by these principles, and avoids "negative" thoughts, the universe will manifest a person's desires" In other words, Destiny can only be a coincidence and not fate if you do not believe. Believing that what you want (destiny) will occur by fate, not letting any negative thoughts creep up, and having faith in yourself, destiny will occur by fate; which is a good thing because if it happens by coincidence it may or may not occur and you will never know. With fate, only you are in charge for when your destiny will occur. For instance, let's say you want to get married and has always dreamed of getting married, but you havent even found that special someone yet. If you truly believe that you will one day then chances are it will happen. If you constantly look for that special someone and still hasnt found him/her, so you began to think thoughts like "I will never find someone", chances are you won't because of the attitude and faith you are puting towards it. It's hard to believe that this is true but whether you are aware of it or not, people dictate the reality of their lives. Only YOU can decide if destiny is a coincidence or fate.
