Poetry: Contemplation

by Sid de Knees

A passing thought,

When meeting those people with agenda,
demanding greater attention than yours,
with shorter time-tables for completion.
A swift depression seeps out of ones pores,

yet, while cringing one foolishly pacifies,
with embellished nods of lame approval.
Tight schedules create fish-attention-spans,
and consequently rapid removal.

But none the lesser one is slightly pained,
by such selfish existences and meetings,
regardless their repetitions I find,
such people lacking of civil greetings,

vulgarious ugliousi, and I,
avoid them like the plague else I might die!
