Types of haunts refers to an apparition or a soul that has passed over to the material plane, where they temporarily exist in an ethereal state, and thus can also be seen in our physical plane as these two planes of existence are operating at the same time. The physical plane is the plane on which living souls exist.

Ghosts or ethereal souls exist in this state and will often stay in or around one place where they feel comfortable, so it may well be the place they used to live, or a place they used to enjoy going to when they were alive, or it may in fact be the place where they passed away.

All these types of places are haunted. Some ghosts have mastered the ability to move objects or to make themselves heard which can be quite scary. How they do this, I do not know, but I have seen many ghosts in my time and will probably see many more before I pass over.

An ethereal soul's form is often made up of very loosely connected particles that weigh about three grams. This is why apparitions or ghosts can pass through walls or doors etc.

I will tell you a short story that may interest you.

Me and a friend went to the Barossa valley in South Australia which is one of the most haunted places in the world. We stayed at the Tanunda Hotel and before we slept the night there we visited a few cemeteries in the local area to see who had passed away. There were many old gravestones there as we visited at least three to four cemeteries.

When we went back to our hotel we stayed in separate rooms and there was a long corridor down the hallway. At about 12:30 AM when all and sundry had gone to bed, apparitions started to walk up and down the corridor. There were sounds of very noisy footsteps up and down the corridor and when I went into the hallway of course no one was there.

At around one am I saw several apparitions which appeared in my room which surprised me more than scared me. All of these souls had full body appearances. About ten minutes later, another more advanced soul came and visited me. It was like a floating head that drifted over to me and connected with my brain and was reading my thoughts which was really freaky as I have never felt this or seen this before, despite that fact that I have seen many ghosts before this.

It is my firm belief that this ghost had followed me back to the Hotel from a cemetery and was intrigued as to my nature and thoughts. It also confirms my strong belief that ghosts or apparitions will generally stay in the same area they are familiar with and will haunt that area for those living souls who can see them. This is why places are haunted for long periods of time until the ghost passes on to a higher plane and cannot be seen in the physical realm.
