Karaoke Revolution Party was released by Konami for the Nintendo Gamecube in 2005. The singer's answer to Dance Dance Revolution, Karaoke Revolution Party is a game that keeps score based on how well you can match the pitch of the notes the song you are singing.

Gameplay- Karaoke Revolution Party includes various modes of gameplay, including free play karaoke, career mode, a head to head mode, and a sing and dance mode, where you score points by singing and dancing on a dance pad (sold separately). There are a variety of songs to choose from, some classic hits and some pop hits, but they are not sung by the original artists. This doesn't really matter though, because the point of karaoke is to have your voice in the music. You can control the volume of your voice and have the singer's voice be louder or have your voice be the only one heard. If you buy another microphone, you can also sing duets.

The game keeps track of whether or not you hit the right pitch in the song, not if you sing the right words. You could potentially just fluctuate your voice without singing any actual words, but that takes the fun out of the game. Navigation of the menus are simple, and the game is easy to pick up and play. There are different levels of success for the songs, including silver, gold and platinum, which is a perfect score. When you get good scores, you unlock new songs to play. You also unlock new outfits and accessories for the character you create that performs while you sing.

Graphics- The graphics in Karaoke Revolution Party are very simple and not anything to write home about. The characters are boxy and stiff and the movements are not fluid. Luckily, the graphics in this game don't really matter because you are not focused on the picture and don't need cutting-edge graphics.

Replay Value- This game has immense replay value, assuming you and your friends like to sing. Even though there is a limited number of songs to sing, they are fun songs that you won't mind singing more than once ("Call Me", "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" "Material Girl" and "I Will Always Love You" to name a few). You can also get your exercise in at the same time by playing the sing and dance mode.

If you like karaoke or singing in general, you should get this game. It is a lot of fun to play and offers many different ways to enjoy the game. This game proves the point that a really great game doesn't need to be a blockbuster to be enjoyable.
