The best sites to look online for vacation deals

When it comes to taking a holiday, everybody wants something different and if you're like me, you love a bargain to boot. So to provide the most accurate suggestions on this topic the best approach is to break down on-line providers for vacation deals into the different types of travellers and what they're most likely going to be searching for.

Firstly there are the student and under 26 travellers. These travellers are usually looking for an experience while maximising their buck for the longest time. So where do they look on the web for the best deals? They usually start by defining the type of experience they want, if they're backpacking around the globe with a group of friends but can't speak half a dozen languages they may consider a group tour, which of course the most renowned is Contiki (

http://www.contiki.com/) where individuals under 30 can meet new people, see the world while doing a range of activities in an already planned itinerary for a set price during a set amount of time. However, what if you want to spend more than one night in Barcelona? With a Contiki tour you're on a schedule, so this is when a look at the less well known Busabout (http://www.busabout.com) is worth a view in. Basically busabout allows travellers to hop-on-hop-off at select locations around Europe and stay at recommended hotels, hostels and other accommodation after purchasing a busabout pass which provides a prepaid service for travellers wishing to explore at their own pace. It's a fantastic service, but currently is only available for European trips and travellers over 18 years. Then there is STA Travel (http://www.statravel.com), an on-line and offline travel agent specifically designed for under 26 year-olds. This is a great site and acts as a portal to get the best deals for students. My partner and I have used their service to save money on international flights as the company has affiliations with certain airlines and accommodation, which saves younger travellers hundreds of dollars as long as long as they present an under 26 years id card (definitely worth it for only $25.00). STA is also run by individuals that have travelled so they're able to provide firsthand experience, information, reviews, insurance and everything you need and want to know when looking for vacation deals on-line as a student. Other sites include: http://www.studentuniverse.com/ and the bible of backpacking http://www.lonelyplanet.com/.

Now if you're after a completely unique holiday maybe
