The country of the United States of America has been since the beginning of its days a country settled and created by immigrants. In this country everyone's ancestors immigrated to this country at one point in their life. Our founding fathers fought to create a country where everyone would be treated equally under the eyes of the law.

Our diverse country is constructed by all together and not by one, this country works because everyone group of people has something to offer, something that contributes to this country. Illegal immigrants are a great part of the USA and contribute in various ways, such as in agricultural labor and construction work. Although many people say that immigrants take jobs away from Americans, I don't see any citizen that is willing to work under the harsh conditions some immigrants work. Why should a USA citizen work? They can just live off the government right?

In order for this country to function properly an in order for us to have a fresh set of fruit in our tables an illegal immigrant had to work to produce it. Now you might ask yourself, well why they don't just stay in their country or get the proper paper work to come to the USA legally? Well all people come to the USA looking for a better life; believe it or not life in their countries of origin is so miserable they cannot even afford the most simple necessities such as clothing or food. People don't come legally to the USA first because they do not have the money necessary for the legalization process (if they did they wouldn't come, don't you think?) and second, the process takes many years. Many of the countries where the immigrants come don't offer the services that are offer here such as health care of clean tap water, also many of the immigrants come to this country looking for asylum because they are persecuted in their country.

So yes I am saying immigrants are good for American but there are exceptions - just like in any other case you can not judge all immigrants by just some immigrants. Just like there are hard working law behaving immigrants there are some that criminals and do not deserve to be here. And isn't the model of this country to take any person in their arms and welcome them if they want to come? Then why isn't it doing it right now? I mean, we do enjoy the benefits immigrants have to offer then why don't we legalize them? It would be beneficial for all.
