Christians have about as much business celebrating Halloween as they do voting for a government official who would sanction the practice of abortion!
Have we lost our minds? Halloween is not an innocent holiday merely meant for candy and costumes and play! It is a high holy day, - the most HIGH holy day of the occultists' year! Forget Druids and All Saint's and every other explanation for it's existence. That doesn't matter. What matters is this is NOT a holiday for Christians, Christian churches or, dare I say, even Christian automobile TRUNKS!
You want to load up your trunk with something? Load it with groceries for that family whose breadwinner has been out of work for a year and a half. I can think of a million good uses for a Christian's trunk: thanksgiving turkeys for the poor, Christmas shoe boxes for the children overseas or, warm blankets and coats for the homeless sleeping in the streets.
It is understandable how the lost souls of the world would neither be aware of nor, care about such things. But, a Christian! A Christian who does not give heed to these spiritual truths is likely to find themselves wishing they had. And, your children are likely to reap what you sow into them, as well.
Christian children will not suffer if they are not permitted to participate in the not-so-harmless activities of Halloween. Go buy them a barrel of candy, if you must, but, know this: there are horrible rituals performed using innocent little children on this night, that would easily make some serial killers wince! Why pay it homage by celebrating it?
Pastor, why not call a solemn assembly and have the congregation pray for the safety and well-being of all innocent children everywhere? You can be certain Satan's crew is fasting and praying against your church tonight, while they are laughing at ourutter ignorance and ridiculous attempt atlooking (and behaving) just like all of them! Church! Wakey, wakey!
Still feel cuddly about wonderful, fun Halloween? Don't believe me, you say? I will save the gory details for another article, just know this: God is not mocked by the cheap imitation and counterfeiting of Satan's world. It is abomination and a slap in his dear son's face! Is this the way we honor Him after what He sacrificed for us? Remember, with our actions, we choose to honor Jesus or, the evil one. After all, isn't that what this 'holiday' does, - celebrate (and even flaunt) everything evil? Is that what we hope to model before our children?
