An amazing moment has begun for me. It would be my deepest desire that everyone could be enriched with the moment I speak of. To know it, to feel its breath, it is almost indescribable. Let me rephrase that composition, it is not verbally describable. I have been dwelling in the reality of this moment. The bitter truth is that it has taken me hostage. However, unlike the usual hostage situation, I find myself surprisingly comfortable.

I reside in a place where I finally feel that I have discovered who I am. To be here, it is a gift. A gift of liberty, a gift of much deserved freedom. Is it irony? Many would proclaim so, how is one hostage and free in the same moment? When the captor is as beautiful as the one that has taken me, I would guarantee that anyone hearing these words would concur.

Imagine being captured into a world where all that you can see is love and laughter. The potential of every situation you encounter to become better than the moment currently existing.

Imagine being captured into a world where all that you can see is your once blurred reflection has been healed by the sight of hope. The mirror which had been successfully deceiving you, discovered to be a liar, to both your mind and heart. Years of self evaluation, self torment have disappeared. It is a release, a revelation of who you truly are. All this time you have been completely unaware.

Imagine being captured into a world where all that you know is the flutter, and pounding of your innermost being. A constant state of complete excitement and adventure.

Imagine being captured into a world where all that you know is the subtle smile of your eyes, an emitting glow from your face. The longing desire to possess your emotion from a complete stranger, because they observe you exuding happiness.

Imagine being captured into a world where all that you know is sunshine, not only from the sky, but also from your movement. The inner self, all that you are.

Imagine being captured into a world where all that you know is exploration. An undying drive to challenge and reaffirm that you are alive.

Imagine being captured into a world where all that you know is time passing steadily and you cannot notice because you are engrossed in the joy of just being.

Imagine being captured into a world where all that you know is to dream. Dream so deep and so hard that you will without fail achieve what you are desperately yearning for.

Imagine being captured by love.

Imagine being captured by your soul mate.

They are my captor. Each have sunk their claws deep into my heart, my whole person. To the extent that the marks are fresh, not capable of being stitched, I am not desirous of them closing. The endless pursuit to feel him. The endless pursuit of pleasing him. The endless pursuit of knowing him, learning him. The endless pursuit of discovery.

I have been taken hostage, but it has been a willing process. I will not fight his hold. I will not fight his chase. I will not fight his eagerness. I will not fight his desire. I will not fight his intensity. I will not fight his wit. I will not fight his persuasion.

This captor I will not resist. I have been indulged with truth. He has taken me captive and set me free in one swift motion. In one glance, my eyes have been forced to reflect, to admit. The stark truth, the bare nakedness of my heart and all that I truly am.

Frankly, so suddenly this hostage translates more correctly into LOVE.
