Poetry: Secrets

by Dolores Moore

Created on: October 30, 2009

I wish you had not told me
Things I didn't want to know.
Or taken me, in confidence,
To where I shouldn't go.
You shared deceit and cheating,
And so, made me a part
Of lies and hidden meanings,
That will break somebody's heart.
I swear I will not share a word
Of those words you made me hear.
Your secrets are all safe with me,
But you've lost a friend, I fear.
