Poetry: Suffering

by Larry Terry

SHARING

In the pit of my stomach, I feel a burn;

Problems in the world, they raise concerns.

Our troubles are minor, where we live;

To the less fortunate, I like to give.

So much suffering, so much pain;

My sorrow, I cannot contain.

People fighting, so much anger;

The innocent becoming victims, just too much danger.

Bringing everyone together, I wish I could;

Loving one another, I wish we would.
