Christmas crafts can be as easy as ABC and 123. These easy Christmas crafts are designed for children to make on their own. Occasionally, they will need the help of an adult. Read through each set of easy instructions before your children start to make the project. Help gather the supplies and let the fun begin! If you aren't too busy, sit down and join in the fun!
Christmas Stockings
Buy plain red and white Christmas stockings or cut the shape of a stocking from felt. Decorate them by sewing or gluing on buttons, rhinestones, glitter glue, lace or fabric paint. Let the kids draw a Christmas picture on the stocking and then add the buttons, lace, rhinestones, and more.
Candy-covered Tree
Cut a piece of silver wrapping paper the same size as a large piece of thin cardboard or spray paint the cardboard silver. Glue the paper onto the cardboard. Roll the cardboard into a cone and cut off the extra cardboard. Hold the cone in place using double-stick tape or use staples. Cut the bottom edge flat so it can stand up. Cut squares of cellophane and tie candy inside of them with thread. Tie them onto a three-foot long piece of organza ribbon. Staple a three-foot long piece of tinsel and the organza ribbon to the top of the cone. Wind them both around the cone. Fill a soda bottle the size of the cone with sand. Sit the cone on top of the bottle and drape extra tinsel around the base. Glue a star to the top of the cone.
Holiday Stir Sticks
Shape oven-hardening clay into a three-inch star, Christmas tree and other Christmas decorations. Make a hole in the center at the bottom of the shape with a skewer. Dry each shape in the oven following the directions on the package. Once it has dried and cooled, glue it to the skewer. Paint it; dry it and varnish it. Prop it up until it dries. Add it to your favorite holiday drinks.
Christmas Treat Box
Clean the inside of a miniature potato chip container. Lay the container on top of shiny Christmas wrapping paper. Measure the height of the container. Roll it down the paper and measure the length for the rectangle to cover the container. Cut out the rectangle. Using double-stick tape, stick the wrapping paper to the chip box.
Decorate the box with decorative strips of gift wrap ribbon by gluing them at an angle from the top to the bottom. Trim off any excess. Glue ribbon around the top and the bottom edges of the box. Cut a circle from the Christmas wrap using decorative scissors. Glue it to the top. Glue a small plastic ornament to
