Magic the Gathering card analysis: Titan's Revenge

"Titan's Revenge" is a red sorcery spell printed as a rare for the Magic the Gathering expansion set known as "Morningtide." This is one of these sorcery spells that you want to put into a red shock and burn deck or an aggressive-burn deck. In a sense, this is perhaps one of the types of cards you could use over again for a few turns. If you have enough mana, you can really decimate an opponent with Titan's Revenge.

The converted mana cost of Titan's Revenge is two. You will need two red mana and X colorless mana to cast Titan's Revenge. For what Titan's Revenge can do, the casting cost is well worth it. Keep in mind that this is a sorcery spell and that you can only cast this during your turn. In a sense, this could be on par with spells such as "Banefire" and "Demonfire."

What does Titan's Revenge do in the first place?

If you are familiar with spells such as "Fireball," "Blaze," "Banefire," and/or "Demonfire," you should easily get the gist of Titan's Revenge. Say that you have paid seven mana of any color for X, Titan's Revenge does seven points of damage to a target creature or player. However this is somewhat different from the other spells. None of the other spells mentioned can be used once again. However, Titan's Revenge could be used against by "Clashing with an opponent."

When you Clash, you reveal the top card of your hand. Your target opponent does the same thing. In this respect, the card with the highest converted mana cost ends up winning the clash. If you win the clash, you get to bring Titan's Revenge back to your hand. That is pretty simple for the most part. However, you may not win every clash for the most part.

One can ask: How do you get the most out of it?

One safe bet would be to use the artifact called "Sensei's Divining Top." You pay one mana of any color to look at the top three cards of your library. Then, you put those three back on top of your library in any order. Hopefully, you should be able to have a high enough converted mana costing card by the time you play Titan's Revenge and clash with an opponent.

Make sure that you use the ability of Sensei's Divining Top before doing so. That should increase your chances of being able to win the clash after casting Titan's Revenge. If you can use Titan's Revenge several times, you can really decimate an opponent.

Overall, this is a good card for any aggressive burn deck. If you plan on using such a deck, this is one card worth using.
