More friendships have been broken up due to partnerships in business. Notroiously, even in the best situations there will be problems. Even the best of friends will disagree when it comes to money. It does seem that money brings the best and worst out of a person. Here are a few quotes to think about from the Quote Garden.
1. "The real measure of your wealth is how much you'd be worth if you lost all your money." ~Author Unknown
2. "Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money." ~Cree Indian Proverb
3. "No matter how hard you hug your money, it never hugs back." ~Quoted in P.S. I Love You, compiled by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
4. "It's good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it's good, too, to check up once in a while and make sure that you haven't lost the things that money can't buy." ~George Horace Lorimer
Joint Investing:
Joint investing in real estate is an act of partnership. It means that the two parties will work "Jointly" to help the other. Joint investing is the same thing as venture capital investing. They are joining their funds, their expertise and their time together to make on business. This business produces money for the team equally. Joint investing is both profitable and a smart way to invest, if done properly.
Qualities of a Joint Investment Team:
Many partnerships have been destroyed because one partner tries to tell the other partner what to do. A good partnership is a union, a total and complete person, not two people at all. When looking for a perfect partner, look in the mirror and find out what pleases you the most of yourself and then seek that type of partner out.
Real estate investing is exciting and wonderful and look for the partner who loves real estate the way you do. Look for the one who is willing to work day and night and who is willing to give more than 100 percent. Look for the person who loves to look at homes, has imagination in how it could looked when it is all remodeled and yes look for the money factor.
Even though you may find the perfect partner, if he has no business sense, he is useless as a partner. A good investment partner knows the business and knows it well. He understands financing in and out and he knows which banks will do the best financing. A joint partnership has to work for the full job, not part.
Strengths of a Good Partner:
In many partnerships or "joint ventures" as they are called today, one partner
