Are some things truly meant to be,
or mere coincidence?
Pondering that question,
leaves me in suspense.

We were miles and miles apart,
each bent on separate missions,
yet ended up together,
increasing my suspicions

that destiny, opposed to chance,
might have validity.
Was our love just a stroke of luck,
or serendipity.
