She just wanted fifteen minutes all day every day,
a break from the hard pressing engagements of her righteousness.
The responsibility stretching her ripped.
She wanted a persistent patch, a lover to make her laugh.
I needed a home for my flight, a comfort in the night.
The pressure lifting me into the clouds threatening a lightning strike against the earth's will.
The end of a headache without aspirin neared.
I wanted a friend to know what we feared was real.
I became a lover who never let go of my pain.
And it increased hers, tearing the love in two to multiply.
And more than life flew.
But we made it through to laugh against the cry.
The headaches and heart attacks are no more.
And I think Patch would be better for her.
And aspirin might be what I need.
I am still hung over in the lust of the universe.
I am only becoming to her another terrible curse word spoken in the name of love.
I can't do that to righteous girl.
