Twisted metal lays dormant,
Once fast and gleaming,
Now placid and splattered with red.
A single malt nestles empty,
Somehow complete in structure,
In the glove compartment,

Another car with shredded tires
And a hand sticking out
From under steering wheel and glass,
Devoid of movement or future,
As I am a thief of someone else's time.

Forgive
