On the 25th day of December every year, Christmas is always celebrated. It is always in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ and people celebrate it in different ways. It is always a distinct day of the year when every one get-together with their loved ones to celebrate and to merry together. Also, it is a time of the year when many Christians throughout the world always gather together for prayers and benedictions.
The story of Christmas has got a deep rooted history into the past, about 600 A.D when the roman king became a Christian. He however immediately turn their yearly pagan celebration in respect of the god of the sun into the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Some analyst traced the birth of Jesus to around January but not December, with the aid of the biblical accounts which they have on hand . this is why in some counties, January 6 is always taken to be the day of Christmas celebration.
Of all the christian holidays, only two are of the utmost importance, which are Easter and Christmas. Easter is in commemoration of the death of Jesus Christ, while Christmas is in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is also an important day because during the period , the economy of a nation begins to boom. There are always a lot of buying and selling, money flow into the hand of people and so on and so forth. But the main thing is that the economy gets stronger during the period.
As said earlier that Christmas is a distinct time of the year , people make fun out of it in different styles. Even organisations are not left out in also making a difference, and impact during the period. They bring gifts; and father Christmas (Santa Claus) to come and distribute those gift especially to children . And also, older people and the deformed in the society are not left out to the rear.
Well I do not know what the birth of the god of sun has to do with the birth of Jesus Christ. Maybe then then, king thought that was a good way of promoting Christianity, but does not know that it will become a worldwide thing .Some Christians do not celebrate Christmas and as such do not recognise it, so they do not celebrate at all. They tend to call it a pagan thing rather than inspiration for God.
In conclusion, Christmas is a very beautiful period, which add glamour to a year because without it I don't not think fun can exist
