Some people say that they tell little lies. What is a little lie? How can you measure an untruth? Telling lies can really destroy a person's life. Most times when a person knows thatyou lie, they will not trust you with any information. Friends are hard to come by . They may say that they are your friends, but they will not be honest with you.

Have you ever told a person some information that was absolutely the truth? You told them in confidence. Instead of keeping the information to themselves, they begin to spread what you said around to your friends or just to other people in general. Of course this is just an injustice and this person will never gain your respect. However, suppose what they told everyone was completed different than what you told them. Watch out the lie has just begun to spread. The lie soon becomes known to your friends as the truth.

It is hard to tell people the truth when a lie has been told so often. What good does it for people to lie? Maybe there is some kind of satisfication from this act. Will the person gain popularity? Could the person telling the lie want revenge? There are many questions that only the producer of the lie can answer. Some people may be suffering from self -esteem issues and telling lies make them feel empowered. Jealously plays an important part in people that spread lies.

Sooner or later the truth will come out, a lie cannot stand alone. The lie will be unfolded and examined at some point. Some hurt feelings and a lot of tension may have to come into play before the lie is exposed. Some forgiving on both sides of the situation will have to be done before a resolution can be put in place. Most times lies will break up a long friendship. Honesty among friends is important.True friends can be honest with one another. Sometimes the truth hurts, but a lie can have a much longer impact on the relations of friends. Friends are there to lift you up in the bad times. Friends will listen to you when you need someone to talk to. However if you cannot be trusted, then personal information will not be given. Telling lies cannot only hurt your relationships with your friends, but it can also damage your good name.
