iPhone app reviews: Touch Hockey: FS5

If you love playing air hockey, you will love this app. It simulates the real game very well, and it only costs 99 cents, which means that you can play the game and try it out without having to break the bank. Best of all, the game has a nice realistic looking interface that kept me interested and playing for a good thirty minutes. I have very few game apps that have kept me interested enough to play them often, and this one makes the list.

Touch Hockey FS5 is easy to use, which I like. This means that I can let my younger brother play this game without having to give him lengthy instructions. All that you have to do is guide the paddle so that your opponent does not get the puck into your cubby. However, you can also "cup" the puck, so that you can have better control over its direction. The features of this game also make it worthwhile, and for 99 cents, I was not expecting this app to have many features.

One of my favorite features, however, is the ability to play over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. I think that this makes the game fun every time, since the player isn't stuck playing against a computer that may have the same moves over and over again. However, sometimes the game doesn't work for me when I play against a friend over Wi-Fi, so I think that the developers need to work on this feature a bit more. I do like this concept, though, and it keeps me entertained for a while.

I also like that I can change the size of the goal. This means that the game can be as easy or as difficult as I want it to be. The ability to customize the game seems a little foreign, especially since the game is so inexpensive. I also enjoy the sound effects; they make the game more realistic.

The best part about this app, however, is that you can play air hockey any time. You do not need to lug around a big table and you do not need to get hit by real pucks. The downside, of course, is that you are stuck playing on a smaller screen. However, this compromise is easy to understand, given all of the features of the game.

All in all, I highly recommend Touch Hockey FS5. It is inexpensive and it's great for any age group.
