THTouch is a misleading name for Texas Hold'em Poker game. Even though "TH" stands for Texas Hold'em, not many people will think that at first and will skip this game for others with clearer names. On another note, THTouch is actually a very good app if you want to play poker. Even though the smaller screen of the iPhone will make you think that it will be difficult to play poker, this app makes gameplay possible, entertaining, and fun.
Luckily, THTouch only costs 99 cents, which means that you can download this game and not feel guilty about it. However, there are plenty of free online poker games that you can play. THTouch is only convenient in that you can play poker wherever, whenever. If you are standing in line at the supermarket or bank, you can play Texas Hold'em. If you are on a long road trip, this app is a perfect way to waste time in the car.
The gameplay is actually quite smooth. You may expect it to be hard because the average finger is going to cover a large area of the screen. However, the developers have made it easy to move your cards around. It is like you never miss a beat, and you will think that you are playing on the computer.
I also like that they have a maturity rating for this app. It is somewhat difficult to track who will be playing it, though, and I am sure that plenty of minors have played these types of games before. While I do not think that the maturity rating is useless, I do think that it's just a way of bypassing any complications. At any rate, I appreciate that the developers and Apple have made it a point to put that rating there for anyone's convenience.
I am not a big poker fan, and I do not play it often. However, when I do decide to play it, I go online on my computer. I would not download an app and play poker on my iPhone because I know that I would use it rarely. All in all, I think that this would be a great game if you were absolutely bored and have nothing else to do. It is worth a mere 99 cents because of the awesome smoothness of gameplay, but other than that, I would not pay to play computer-generated poker.
