Most people right off the bat would say that being rich is better than being poor. Most of us have never gotten to feel what it's like to have the kind of money that we can go do and have basically anything we want. Have you ever heard of the stories people always say about others that run into a lot of money, such as the lottery. Many people believe that having that kind of money will change someone no matter what they're like before the event.

Sadly, most of the time people's assumptions are true. A lot of times people that run into that kind of money go buying everything they want and not having to worry about any of the money issues they have had before. Well, there are also the handfuls of people that run into money and use it smartly, and just help make their lives easier.

Even though people could be rich and not be too stuck up, or not appreciate anything, I believe that not having such money is better. In life, many rich people never get to completely appreciate everything they have. I know, even though I don't have a lot, I'm not completely thankful for everything I have myself and I'm far from rich. People who are truly poor are happy to have the food and drink to keep them alive. They're happy to have the clothes on their backs and a place to stay. People like this work every day just to stay alive and every day they're thankful to even be there.

It's people like that, that deserve to run into a lot of money and become rich. They are probably the only people that could have that kind of money, and appreciate everything they get with it. I think everybody should be thankful for what they have, and be thankful for the people who help provide it to them.

In my opinion, it's kids who are the worst in not being thankful for all the stuff they have. Though I'm not saying all are guilty of this, many kids don't know how hard it is for parents to provide for their kids. There are few kids that I know of, that actually got to work and see what kind of troubles parents put up with, and how much they put aside to provide for their kids out of pure love for them.

These are a few reasons I believe it's better to be poor. I would rather not have the money to buy everything I dream of, or do everything I ever wanted but at least I get to appreciate what I have. I'm also happy to be able to be thankful to the people that help provide for me, like my mother, father, stepfather, and god. They help me get everything I need every day and without them I would be lost.
