Poetry: Nothing left

by Phil Elroy

Created on: October 29, 2009

Gone

A thief in the night

Come to steal it all away

Left me a corner

With my painful plight

Stay

Happiness is a foreigner

And how I miss it so

Standing at its grave

Like a stoic mourner

Go

Flexible as a stave

Don't want you anymore

I need emancipation

You're holding me a slave

Ignore

Nothing left for decoration

Nothing left at all

Push me into the abyss

Of eternal devastation
