Title: The Animal In the Dog
I run
The wind blowing through my fur
The earth beneath my paws
I feel the heart beat of the land
As it matches my own
I am free
Roaming the wilds I call home
I breathe
The fresh air enters my lungs
Bringing the scent of others
The animal inside
Brings forth a howl of joy
I sleep
My soul is at peace
As I lay on the cool earth
Feeling the warm sun
No thoughts of yesterday
